I used to be interested in spiritual things such as Tibet Buddhism. One day, I found a pamphlet of the live concert in a book store and I was interested in it. That concert was for the recording of CD album Warera Kami no Tami(Tu y yo in Japanese). I was wondering if I as a non believer could go to that concert, but the pamphlet said that even if you don't know the lyrics or the melody of the songs, we could contribute through our clapping, shoutin, and joy. So, I felt I would be able to reach God even through my clapping. Then, I decided to go there.
The concert was filled with excitement. I was surprised at the songs because they were very different from what I had expected and those songs were very lively. I felt that in those songs, there was overflowing joy, peace, and love. I experienced the true God not by mind, but by heart. After the concert, I received Jesus Christ as my Savior. I got saved that night.
Now, I am a member and one of the staff at Sapporo Christian Group . Juan Salinas, the producer of CanZion came to Sapporo for the CD recording this year. I was able to see him again. He remembered me and he told me that my salvation through that recording was encouragement to him also. There might be a lot of sacrifice for CanZion in order to do the recording in Japan where there are still few Christians. I would like to thank you all staff and workers of CanZion producciones for your love and vision that care enough about even one soul's salvation in Japan even though you all are doing great work for Latin America.

My name is Rodolfo Garza. I came from Mexico, as a missionary to Japan. I am currently pastoring Sapporo Christian Group.
I graduated from university with a degree in Food Technology, and I started working as an engineer. As a young man I was given a very prestigious posting in a large steel company in Mexico. However, I left that position and started a construction company. My business prospered, I had a beautiful wife and three lovely children; I was successful. However, my heart was empty and I was spiritually hungry. I tried to fill in this emptiness in my heart by looking at different religions and philosophies. I travelled around the world to countries like Egypt and India; I wanted to know the wonders of the world. I was interested in U.F.O.s and chanelling, and other occultic activities, but none of these things filled the void in my heart.
One day I was watching the sun set on a beach, and the beauty of it moved me. I believed that God existed, but I did not understand him. So, I cried out to God, "God, if you exist, please show yourself to me." Within a few days an old friend of mine came to visit me at my house, and he told me about Jesus Christ. My heart was lit up and I received Jesus into my heart. I had some knowledge about Christ, and I thought I was versed in religion, but I did not know that God desired to have a personal relationship with me.
Since receiving Christ into my heart, my heart is no longer empty, it is now full. My relations with my family have become close, and from the bottom of my heart I can now rejoice.
I started going to church, I received teaching and spiritually I began to grow. God gave me a love for Japan and the Japanese people. Seven years after I got saved, eight years ago, my family came with me to Japan as missionaries. I love all the Japanese people and I would like as many people as possible to come to know the wonderful grace of God.

Before, I lacked self-confidence, and was very shy and introverted. Deep inside of me I was frustrated and was struggling because I could not express myself openly. I always wanted to be someone else, I wanted to change.
One day some friends invited me to go to church. The atmosphere of that church was cheerful and free, and the people were warm-hearted. Even though I did not express myself the people welcomed me as I was. I liked that atmosphere, and so I started to go to church occasionally.
One day I shared with my friend about the darkness in my heart. My friend did not condemn me, but she accepted me as I was and encouraged me. My conception of God was that He was distant and waiting to punish me when I did something wrong. No, God loves us as we are. Through spending time with the people at church the wounds and hurts of the past were gradually healed.
Now I am in the praise and worship team at church, and I sing to God. Before, I could not not sing loudly or speak out, but now I can do that. My old friends would not be able to imagine that that is what I am doing now. Now I do not want to be someone else; I am confident in myself. Now, I want to share about this Jesus who changed me with as many people as possible.

The people who have shared testimonies here have not been Christians for a long time. The only thing that they have in common is that one day they experienced an encounter with Jesus in their lives and restored their relationship with God who gives us life and who loves us.
It's not religion that we are doing. Everyone of you has parents. It's not religion if you believe in the existence of your father or mother. In the same way, it is not religion to believe in the existence of the One who gave us life. However, in reality, the problem for many people is that they wonder if God exists, or they might feel that God exists, but they don't understand quite well.
The Bible says clearly that there is a wall between us and God. That wall is the sinful nature in us. Because we have this sinful nature, we follow evil things, and when it manifests itself, it becomes crime. God sees our hearts. Even if we do not commit crime, that doesn't mean that we are not sinning against God.
All those who believe in Jesus Christ, God's son, and God himself, will have all their sins forgiven and can restore the close relationship with the true God. That relationship will give your lives the answers and lead you to solve all your problems.
